My first ultrasound was this morning and I am very, very sore. Thanks to a learning technician and her instructor I was subjected to one of the most excruciating ultrasounds of my life.
The results are in and I am having another one on Good Friday at 8.15am. Hopefully we will be on time for this one as we weren't today.
I've been talking about signs and found this little exerpt about Easter and pagan traditions. I like it so I thought I'd share.
Easter: The Pagan Origins
Easter shows its pagan origins in a dating system based on the lunar calendar. It is fixed as the first Sunday after the first full moon following the Equinox (Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere where the festival originated).
The festival is named after Ostara, the Saxon goddess of Spring, the dawn and fertility. Symbols of fertility and new life such as eggs and... rabbits became associated with the new growth of the season. Ostara’s familiar, the Moon Hare who was spellbound by the luna glow is now known as the Easter Bunny. The eating of hot crossed buns was also an ancient pagan tradition, the cross representing the four quarters of the moon.
The signs are stacking up again...my eggs should be collected on Easter Monday which will be a very good day in my humble opinion. I'm happy too that the trigger injection has changed its packaging to reflect the Gonal F. So, a sharp instead of a blunt needle and easier to administer.
I had a teary morning and was upset over the pain level I was in. I also couldn't administer my Lucrin without so much pain. I have quite a lot of bruising around the injection sites and wish it would just go away.
Feeling teary and full...19 follicles so far!
See you soon Sweetpeas,
Love Mummy
